Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead large, complex nuclear design and deployment projects for Small Modular Reactor technology in Houston, TX. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, and construction to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets.

The role requires 10+ years in project management, strong earned value management, PMI principles, and familiarity with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and nuclear industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of project management experience with high complexity and multiple interfaces.
• Demonstrated application of PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge principles and processes (required).
• Earned Value Management practices (required).
• PMP certification or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience in nuclear design/development environment and NSSS/reactor design.
• Nuclear industry/EPC/DOE projects experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall planning and execution of project activities per NuScale policies.
• Maintain baseline, earned value planning and management, and project execution strategy; communicate baseline and requirements to the team.
• Interface with discipline managers and teams; support priority information.
• Identify and resolve project problems with risk management and issue escalation.
• Provide weekly and monthly status reports on performance, schedule, and costs.
• Coordinate with management to authorize work and assign resources.
• Develop and control project-specific plans and procedures for execution.
• Maintain high quality and timely completion of tasks.
