Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. seeks a Lead Operations Support Specialist to contribute to our mission supporting Savannah River Nuclear Solutions in Aiken, SC.

This role focuses on coordinating turnover, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering detailed turnover documentation for DOE facilities. Candidates should bring extensive experience in regulated environments, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining rigorous safety

Qualifications

• At least 10–14 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of DOE orders and regulatory statutes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in highly regulated environments with attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract security requirements.
• Candidates must be able to pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance.
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and participating in turnover walkdowns.
• Developing turnover packages for the appropriate accepting organization using required turnover forms.
• Coordinating with the accepting organization to compile a turnover punch list.
• Facilitating designation of punch list items as A or B.
• Notifying the accepting organization that SSC(s) are ready for turnover.
• Requesting the Facility Manager to determine if a Final Acceptance Inspection per Manual 8Q.
• Prepare and document all required turnover deliverables, including as-built drawings, equipment lists, and operating manuals.
• Ensure turnover activities meet nuclear regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• Liaise with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to confirm completion of work and resolve documentation discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records for audits, inspections, and future operations.
