Savannah River Mission Completion in Aiken, SC, is seeking a Manager, Shift Operations for the Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF). This senior role directs all on-duty DWPF operations, providing work direction, ensuring safety, and coordinating with Maintenance, E&I, Work Control, Laboratory, QA, IH, Technical and HP teams.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree and nuclear facility experience, shows strong leadership, makes critical on-shift decisions, and promotes safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
• Experience working in a nuclear facility
• Strong leadership and decision-making on shift
• Ability to authorize work and plant configuration changes

Responsibilities

• Lead DWPF shift operations ensuring safety and compliance
• Direct maintenance, I&C, work control, QA, and other support groups
• Make on-shift decisions to shut down or adjust plant operations as required
• Ensure staffing, surveillance, and training of personnel
• Tour the plant, set operator expectations, and troubleshoot conditions
