Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine and nuclear cardiology procedures in a compliant, patient‑focused environment.

You will conduct quality control, explain procedures to patients, maintain records, and mentor students while ensuring regulatory standards are met. A JRCNMT/NMTCB accredited program graduate with required licenses is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by JRCNMT or NMTCB.
• 1 year of experience required.
• Licensure/certification required by law: ARDMS or ARRT - Nuclear Medicine Technologist, CNMT, NMTCB, and BLS.
• BLS - Basic Life Support required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures per protocols and adheres to ALARA.
• Performs quality control procedures per manufacturer, state and federal guidelines.
• Demonstrates competence in Nuclear Medicine exams across age groups and assists with scheduling and patient safety.
• Mentors students and junior technologists; ensures regulatory compliance and documentation; post-processes imaging with Syngo Via.
