Job summary

Stony Brook Medicine seeks a TH Medical Radiographer III in Stony Brook, NY. You will perform diagnostic radiography in nuclear medicine, position patients, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role involves teaching, possible supervisory duties, and collaboration with physicians and staff. Qualified candidates should have NYS DOH licensure, NMTCB/ARRT CAT Scan credentials preferred, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Licensed by the NYS DOH in Nuclear Medicine Radiology Technology.
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic exams and position patients.
• Provide immobilization devices and adjust technical factors per patient.
• Assist in safety and protection measures during procedures.
• May act as supervisor in absence of senior technologist.
• Assist with quality control tests and research as required.
• Teach radiology students or hospital personnel the department procedures.
