Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior-level engineer to contribute to nuclear power plant systems design, modification packages, and engineering analyses. The role involves leading project teams, developing cost estimates, and interfacing with clients at office or site locations.

Candidates should have extensive power industry experience and ABET-accredited degrees. The position supports a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office and opportunities to influence automation and AI-driven

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• 12+ years of experience in the power industry
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants
• PE license is beneficial, but not required

Responsibilities

• Involved in nuclear power plant systems design and preparation/review of modification packages
• Develop functional mechanical drawings or drawings for plant systems
• Produce engineering analyses to support modifications and operation of plant systems
• Prepare technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment
• Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment
• Lead projects and interface with clients during site visits to present engineering work
