Job summary

Holtec International is seeking a Nuclear Licensing Engineer III to support the development of licensing documentation for SMR-300 projects. The role requires deep knowledge of US licensing requirements and 10 CFR Parts 50 and 52, with interaction across engineering teams.

The candidate will prepare topical and technical reports, safety analyses, and applications for licenses, permits, and certifications, while presenting licensing findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810 without specific authorization.
• 8+ years experience in the nuclear industry.
• 4-8 years experience in NRC regulatory affairs.
• Demonstrated technical writing and effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare licensing documentation for SMR-300 design.
• Prepare and defend licensing position papers where needed.
• Deliver licensing presentations to internal and external organizations.
• Support project management for licensing submissions.
• Collaborate with Systems, Controls, and Operations engineers.
