Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory’s National Reactor Innovation Center (NRIC) is seeking Technical Program Managers to accelerate the demonstration and deployment of advanced nuclear energy systems. You will work with reactor developers, national laboratories, federal agencies, and industry partners to move innovative reactor concepts from design through demonstration.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years (Level 4) or Master with 6+ years or PhD with 4+ years in Nuclear, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Level 5 requires 14 years (Bachelor), 8 years (Master) or 6 years (PhD) in the same fields.
Experience in systems engineering or engineering design of pilot plants and experimental facilities.
Knowledge of model-based systems and digital engineering into plant design.
Knowledge of requirements management, configuration management, risk management, systems analysis, verification and validation.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

Direct or support projects involving experimental infrastructure, facility upgrades, new construction, fuel availability, testing capabilities, and demonstration sites.
Build multidisciplinary research and engineering teams, coordinate work across INL and partner organizations.
Communicate program performance to customers and laboratory leadership; ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
Coordinate engineering, construction, modification, and readiness activities for reactor testing and demonstration.
