Job summary

Antares in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to own the electrical requirements baseline for Instrumentation & Controls. You will define, decompose, and verify requirements, ensure traceability, and coordinate with regulators, licensing teams, and test engineers to prove performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in electrical or I&C systems engineering with ownership of a requirements baseline.
• Experience writing decomposed, verifiable requirements with measurable acceptance criteria.
• Demonstrated experience leading FMEA or equivalent structured reliability analysis and turning output into test plans.
• Experience defining and maintaining validation and qualification plans and working with a test organization.
• Experience defining hardware and software interface control documents across organizational boundaries.
• Experience delivering hardware under formal quality programs (e.g., NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, AS9100, IEC 61508).

Responsibilities

• Create the requirement baseline with Responsible Engineers, ensuring each requirement has measurable acceptance criteria.
• Own and maintain interface control documents across electrical systems to enable independent yet integrated development.
• Lead the I&C Design FMEA and drive test plans to validate mitigations.
• Create design validation and qualification plans and support bench/testbed execution.
• Support licensing by translating design into regulator-facing documents with traceability.
• Own site certification for non-listed components with NRTL field evaluation when needed.
• Lead interconnection studies and translate utility requirements into verifiable design needs.
• Capture customer load requirements and translate them into specified, verifiable requirements.
• Bridge controls software and hardware to ensure alarms, control laws, and sensor/actuator behavior are verifiable.
• Influence design through cross-functional reviews to protect verifiability and licensing.
