Job summary

Antares in Torrance, CA seeks a Nuclear Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to support development, integration, testing, and qualification of nuclear measurement systems across our reactor programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Nuclear/Electrical/Physics/Systems/Engineering).
• 4+ years in instrumentation and control systems in high-reliability settings.
• Hands-on experience with sensors, measurement electronics, calibration, and data acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to develop, integrate, and qualify nuclear instrumentation and control systems.
• Design, build, and operate hardware-in-the-loop test platforms and automated test stands for nuclear measurement systems.
• Develop and execute test plans for detectors, sensors, electronics, and related instrumentation.
• Perform sensor characterization, calibration, and performance testing including drift and response time.
• Conduct environmental qualification testing under radiation, thermal, vacuum, vibration, and shock.
• Develop automated test software interfacing with data acquisition systems and control hardware.
• Translate requirements into test objectives, procedures, and verification activities.
• Analyze test data, investigate anomalies, and document findings for design verification.
