Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Principal Engineer and CTH to drive high-quality nuclear plant digital control solutions. You will lead nuclear controls teams, set standards, and ensure regulatory compliance across lifecycle.

You will mentor engineers, oversee integration of requirements across disciplines, and collaborate with Steam Turbine Controls to align strategy and direction. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
• At least 10 years of engineering or operations experience in Nuclear Power.
• 10 years of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) experience in highly regulated, safety-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a recognized technical authority within the Nuclear Plant Controls space, setting standards and influencing engineering decisions.
• Establish integration framework for control system requirements, architecture, and V&V methodologies for the nuclear fleet.
• Represent nuclear safety-critical design standards to ensure regulatory compliance across project lifecycles.
• Provide overarching technical safety oversight to maintain reliability margins.
• Own the glue among requirements and ensure traceability and validation of dependencies.
• Lead critical technical deliverables and collaborate with Steam Turbine Controls teams for alignment.
• Identify technical risks, drive cross-functional resolution, and define mitigations at system level.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and regulatory trends to drive innovation.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent and promote system-level thinking.
