Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Principal Engineer and Controlled Title Holder (CTH) to unify diverse controls disciplines into a single, high-quality nuclear plant digital control solution. You will lead engineering excellence, mentor engineers, and drive safety-focused design throughout complex nuclear projects.

You will influence architecture, V&V frameworks, and regulatory design processes, ensuring lifecycle safety and reliability across multi-disciplinary integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• 10+ years in engineering or operations in Nuclear Power.
• 10 years of I&C systems in regulated, safety-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority in Nuclear Plant Controls, setting standards and influencing engineering decisions.
• Establish integration framework for control system requirements, architecture, and V&V methodologies per 10 CFR 50.59.
• Represent nuclear safety-critical design standards to influence product roadmaps and regulatory compliance.
• Provide overarching technical safety lens across lifecycle of complex nuclear integrations.
• Own the glue among requirements to ensure transparent, traceable dependencies.
• Lead and deliver critical technical components for Nuclear Plant Controls team.
• Collaborate with Steam Turbine Controls to align strategy and direction.
• Identify risks, lead cross-functional problem resolution, define mitigations at system level.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and regulatory trends.
