Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Principal Engineer and Controlled Title Holder to unite diverse nuclear plant control disciplines into a high-quality, reliable digital solution. You will lead technically, mentor engineers, and drive safety and regulatory compliance across complex projects.

Required: a BS in Engineering with 10+ years in nuclear power engineering/operations and 10+ years in I&C within safety-critical environments. Travel up to 25% in North America; relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in engineering or operations capacity in Nuclear Power.
• 10 years of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems within highly regulated, safety-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a recognized technical authority within the Nuclear Plant Controls space, setting standards and influencing engineering decisions.
• Establish an integration framework for control system requirements, architecture, and V&V methodologies for the nuclear fleet.
• Represent the business as an expert regarding nuclear safety-critical design standards and influence product roadmaps for regulatory compliance.
• Provide an overarching technical safety lens to ensure margins remain uncompromised across complex, multi-disciplinary integrations.
• Own the governance of how requirements intersect, ensuring transparency and traceability of dependencies.
• Collaborate with related teams to review designs and provide technical direction, while mentoring engineers.
