Job summary

VulcanForms seeks a Senior Manager, NPI Quality for its Consumer Technology program. You will serve as the technical and operational authority for the NPI quality framework, bridging advanced manufacturing development with rapid scaling and tier-one customer expectations.

You will lead on-floor quality execution, metrology validation, FAI/AS9102, CAPA, MRB, and SPC implementation, collaborating with process engineers, machinists, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive quality engineering and technical leadership experience in advanced, high-consequence precision manufacturing.
• Operational presence on the factory floor with direct collaboration with engineering teams and operators.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or Quality Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Govern and execute integrated NPI quality plans on the production floor from early process development through full serial production.
• Oversee metrology protocols (CMM, optical metrology, and CT scanning) and metallurgical testing standards.
• Lead daily root cause investigations on the production line and enforce CAPA using 8D methodologies.
• Serve as the primary technical quality authority for tier-one customer teams and lead FAI/AS9102 reviews.
• Lead MRB evaluations and establish SPC frameworks to maximize production yield.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers, Machinists, EDM, and Surface Finishing to embed DFQ and GD&T controls.
• Mentor NPI Quality Engineers and Technicians; develop SOPs and inspection training.
• Direct supplier quality audits and material verifications for raw materials and post-processing vendors.
