Job summary

VulcanForms is seeking a Senior Manager, NPI Quality, Consumer Technology to lead the NPI quality framework for the V3 consumer program. You will bridge advanced manufacturing development with rapid scaling, overseeing metrology and metallurgical validation, FAI/AS9102, and real-time defect resolution on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in quality engineering and technical leadership in high-consequence precision manufacturing.
• Active floor engagement with engineering teams, operators, and equipment.
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related; master’s preferred.
• Deep proficiency in GD&T, metrology, tolerance analysis, and SPC/Cpk.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or IATF 16949, ECO/ECN, and FAI/PPAP frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Govern and execute integrated NPI quality plans from development to full production.
• Oversee metrology validation (CMM, optical methods) and metallurgical testing standards.
• Lead root cause investigations on the production line and drive CAPA actions.
• Interface with Tier-One customers, perform FAI/AS9102 reviews, and resolve engineering challenges.
• Lead MRB evaluations and establish SPC frameworks for yield optimization.
• Collaborate with process engineers and machinists to embed DFQ and GD&T controls.
• Direct NPI quality engineers and technicians; establish SOPs and training.
• Direct supplier quality activities, on-site audits, and material verifications.
