Job summary

Itron is seeking a Sr. Program Manager– New Product Introduction to lead hardware program delivery from concept to production, coordinating across manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and R&D.

You will guide pilots, industrialization, and process transfer while communicating status and risks to senior leadership. Ideal candidates bring PM experience in hardware manufacturing, strong technical knowledge of PCBAs and box-build assemblies, and proficiency in MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical engineering experience
• Proven program management experience in hardware or manufacturing environments
• Experience with Kaizen, Scrum, Lean and continuous improvement practices
• Proficiency with program management and PLM/ERP tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Oracle
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams
• Ability to operate in a dynamic, high-visibility environment

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI programs from initiation through delivery, including pilot builds and industrialization milestones
• Collaborate with Product, R&D, Operations, Procurement, Logistics and external EMS/contract manufacturers
• Maintain program status, schedules and risks; deliver portfolio-level reporting to leadership
• Apply Lean, Kaizen and Agile methods to optimize processes and drive efficiency
• Provide technical guidance in mechanical, electrical, or industrial domains
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure progress
• Deliver timely updates to stakeholders and ensure accountability
• Align program activities with customer expectations and company values
• Coordinate with Global Commodity Managers and suppliers for contingency planning
