Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Specialist, Procurement NPI, to lead sourcing, supplier selection, negotiations, and program execution onsite in Windsor Locks. The role focuses on cost management, supplier performance, and cross-functional collaboration to meet schedule and quality goals.

The candidate will drive sourcing strategies, manage purchase orders, and oversee contract performance, with emphasis on minimizing cost while ensuring reliability.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
• US Citizen requirement for access to program/contract

Responsibilities

• Manages procurement processes from RFPs, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, and program execution.
• Monitors and coordinates suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to resolve shortages and late deliveries.
• Manages escalations and drives resolution of internal customer issues across cross-functional actions.
• Performs advanced delivery assurance actions to mitigate production floor and end customer impact.
• Directs vendor selection and management to minimize purchasing costs while maintaining quality and reliability.
• Reviews price trends and manufacturing process changes to ensure successful procurement.
