Job summary

Collins Aerospace, based remotely in Puerto Rico, is seeking a Principal Procurement Specialist to drive supplier performance and delivery for critical components. This role focuses on managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and data integrity in ERP/MRP systems to support production readiness and cost objectives.

You will collaborate with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to resolve issues and mitigate supply risks while maintaining continuity across the supply

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship required to access program/contract information.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement for assigned suppliers, including PO placement, expediting, and delivery execution.
• Maintain ERP/MRP data (lead times, supply periods, safety stock, procurement parameters).
• Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships and drive performance improvements.
• Conduct supplier negotiations, competitive bids, and sourcing activities.
• Monitor supplier performance, identify risks, and address shortages or disruptions.
• Partner with planners and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve critical shortages and improve deliveries.
• Resolve receiving, invoice, PO, and supplier discrepancies to support material availability.
• Lead root cause analyses and corrective actions with suppliers.
• Support production readiness reviews and other purchasing activities to maintain continuity.
• Prepare procurement metrics, supplier performance reports, risk assessments, and audits.
