Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for New Product Introduction in Whitehall, MI. The role leads NPI processes for aerospace components and mentors engineers on the shop floor and within engineering teams.

Responsibilities include concurrent engineering reviews with customers, process development, yield improvement, and cost reduction initiatives to meet stringent metallurgical quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 7+ years experience as a process engineer in investment casting.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, statistics, and problem solving methods.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to manipulate CAD models.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of NPI processes.
• Conduct NPI concurrent engineering reviews with customers.
• Provide leadership and accountability on critical process concerns.
• Participate in NPI and yield improvement meetings.
• Develop and improve processes for aerospace components.
• Mentor and guide other engineers in the department.
• Lead problem solving, cost reduction, and process improvements.
• Define control plans and collect statistical data per plan.
