Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Engineer for Plant 10 - Whitehall Casting Operation in Whitehall, MI.

You will drive process control, cost reductions and profitability improvements through strategic engineering programs and cross-functional collaboration on the shop floor and with customers. The role emphasizes data-driven decisions, continuous improvement and strong leadership in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum 7 years of product / process engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Plans and formulates engineering programs within area of assigned responsibility.
• Implements and reviews process design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards and customer contract requirements and related specifications.
• Supports activities concerned with technical development, cost reduction programs and in resolving engineering design and test problems.
• Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases.
• Prepares interim and completion project report, as necessary.
• Provide technical support for assigned coating, brazing and/or manufacturing area of assignment.
• Interfaces with production personnel regarding all processing requirements.
• Performs process quality investigations, as required.
• Develops and implements process improvements and cost reductions.
