Job summary

Flux Computing in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Staff NPI Mechanical Engineer to develop manufacturing processes and deliver production readiness for next‑gen AI computing solutions. You will lead mechanical and opto-mechanical assemblies from concept to high‑volume production.

You will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Global Supply Management, Quality, and contract manufacturers to validate processes, ensure capability, and meet yield, cycle time, and production goals before transfer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in New Product Introduction and Process Engineering in advanced manufacturing.
• Expertise in mechanical and opto-mechanical assembly processes, including equipment, fixturing, automation, and final assembly.
• Deep understanding of process development, capability, FMEA, and validation.
• Proven success delivering manufacturing processes from concept to production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver manufacturing processes in collaboration with contract manufacturers from concept to production readiness.
• Validate processes, capability, and readiness for product launches and transfer to operations.
• Provide technical leadership to industrialize products through development to high-volume manufacturing.
• Meet or exceed goals for yield, quality, cycle time, and throughput before transfer.
• Develop scalable processes, tooling, fixturing, automation, and material flow for long-term growth.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions to improve process performance and quality.
