Job summary

OLIX seeks an experienced Senior Staff NPI Mechanical Engineer to drive manufacturing processes for next-generation AI computing solutions. You will lead industrialization of complex mechanical and opto-mechanical assemblies, turning designs into robust, scalable processes for high-volume production.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Global Supply Management, Quality, and contract manufacturers to validate processes, ensure capability, and deliver production-ready solutions before transfer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in New Product Introduction and Process Engineering in advanced manufacturing.
• Expertise in mechanical and opto-mechanical assembly processes, including equipment, tooling, fixturing, material flow, automation, final assembly, test and pack.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing process development, process capability, FMEA, and process validation.
• Proven track record delivering manufacturing processes from concept to production readiness.
• Ability to lead cross-functional product industrialization efforts via technical influence and judgment.
• Experience partnering with contract manufacturers to enable high-volume production.

Responsibilities

• Deliver manufacturing processes for complex mechanical and opto-mechanical assemblies from concept through production readiness.
• Validate manufacturing processes and process capability to enable product launches and seamless transfer to operations.
• Provide technical leadership to industrialize new products from development to high-volume manufacturing.
• Meet or exceed goals for yield, quality, process capability, cycle time, and throughput before transfer to operations.
• Develop scalable manufacturing processes, tooling, fixturing, automation, and material flow for long-term growth.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions to improve process performance and product quality.
