Job summary

OptiTrack seeks a hands-on Senior Manufacturing Engineer to develop, automate, optimize, and scale manufacturing for motion capture, tracking, vision, and sensing products. You will lead cross-functional efforts across machining, electronics, optics, robotics, and additive manufacturing to improve quality, throughput, cost, and reliability.

Responsibilities include leading NPI readiness, creating process documentation, deploying automation, and driving continuous improvement through Lean/Six

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering; Mechatronics; Robotics; or related field.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in electronics, robotics, optics, precision mechanical products, medical devices, aerospace, or related industries.
• Strong DFM, DFA, and DFT knowledge with experience supporting NPI.
• SolidWorks proficiency in assemblies, configurations, drawings, and tooling; design of fixtures, jigs, test equipment, and automation.
• Hands-on mechanical, electrical, automation, and manufacturing troubleshooting with strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI manufacturing readiness from concept through production; develop, qualify, and scale assembly, calibration, test, inspection, and packaging processes.
• Create work instructions, process flows, FMEAs, validation reports, and control plans.
• Identify, justify, and deploy automation for assembly, testing, calibration, inspection, material handling, and data collection using robotics and machine vision.
• Optimize CNC machining, fixtures, tooling, and processes; collaborate on DFM/DFA and cycle times.
• Support SMT PCB assembly, testing, and related fixtures; troubleshoot PCBAs and embedded electronics.
• Develop automated test equipment and data acquisition; drive root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
