Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Sr. Manager, NPI Materials to lead a team of TPMs and PMs from R&D through volume manufacturing transition. You will ensure PDR deliverables meet high quality and schedule targets while coordinating with Engineering Product Management and Supply Chain.

The role requires building an inclusive, performance-driven team, influencing design-for-cost and manufacturability, and managing supplier relations to mitigate shortages and enable rapid part introductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• 8+ years operations management experience in semiconductor, automotive, or heavy machinery.
• Expertise in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods and cost structures.
• Supply chain knowledge for sourcing decisions and cost strategies.
• Willing to work on-site 3 days per week in Fremont.

Responsibilities

• Establish a materials supply chain meeting performance, cost, quality, capacity, and on-time delivery targets.
• Serve as point of contact for escalations between Product group and Supply Chain.
• Lead cross-functional teams in a matrix organization with executives.
• Develop an inclusive team with bias for achievement and risk management.
• Influence product design for manufacturability, cost, and supply chain.
• Close material shortages and enable new part introduction for pilots.
