Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Sr. Manager, NPI Materials to lead a team of Technical Program Managers through all stages of product development from R&D to volume manufacturing.

You will ensure timely, high-quality PDR deliverables and manage cross-functional escalations with executives. The role requires a strong background in materials supply chain, manufacturability, and cost optimization, with on-site work in Fremont 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 8+ years leading complex programs.
• Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing methods and cost structures.
• Experience with supply chain decisions and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish a materials supply chain meeting performance, cost, quality, and delivery goals.
• Serve as liaison between Product management and Supply Chain for escalations.
• Lead cross-functional teams including executives in a matrix environment.
• Develop and retain an inclusive team with focus on risk management and execution.
• Influence design for manufacturability and cost reduction opportunities.
• Guide pilot builds and new part introductions with supply chain support.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders on sourcing decisions.
• Present cost targets vs quotes to program executives and stakeholders.
• Identify should-cost opportunities and improve product design for cost/quality.
