Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks a Sr. NPI Engineer to lead the industrialization and production launch of wiring harnesses for the satellite program.

You will drive end-to-end NPI strategy, coordinate with design, supplier manufacturing, quality and supply chain, and ensure DFx for high-reliability harness systems. You will guide DFx/DFM/DFT, optimize harness fabrication and test, and lead cross-functional teams to resolve constraints during NPI transitions to mass production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience from engineering development through production for complex products.
• 5+ years working with external suppliers for spacecraft components.
• Strong understanding of DFM/DFA and manufacturing process development.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs and specs.
• Experience with work instructions, tooling, fixtures, and inspection methods.
• Experience with root-cause analysis (5-Why, 8D, fishbone).
• Strong cross-functional communication with Design, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transition of wire harness products from design to high-volume manufacturing.
• Develop end-to-end NPI strategy across design, supplier manufacturing, quality and supply chain.
• Drive DFM and DFT requirements for harness products.
• Optimize fabrication, assembly and test to maximize yield and reduce costs.
• Lead cross-functional teams to resolve constraints during NPI and transfer to mass production.
• Ensure product quality and reliability prior to release with Supplier Quality.
