Job summary

Zenovo, based in Boston, seeks a hands-on Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead NPI and production transfers for electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical assemblies. This onsite role partners with design, supply chain, and CMs to ensure robust manufacturability and tight documentation control.

You will own the manufacturing release process, develop procedures, and coordinate external builds while maintaining strict revision control and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience in an OEM environment with outsourced manufacturing.
• Experience transferring products to contract manufacturers.
• Experience creating and maintaining structured BOMs.
• Experience writing assembly and test procedures.
• Knowledge of PLM, ERP, and document management systems.
• Understanding of DFM, DFA, and process validation.
• Strong documentation control and revision management.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain multi-level BOMs for electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical assemblies.
• Create, document, and release manufacturing assembly procedures, work instructions, and test procedures.
• Develop and maintain documentation packages for manufacturing partners.
• Support NPI activities from prototype development through production ramp.
• Contribute to DFM and DFA reviews.
• Lead and support technology transfer to contract manufacturing partners.
• Collaborate with design, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure manufacturability.
• Manage ECOs and manufacturing documentation release processes.
• Coordinate production builds at external manufacturing sites.
• Ensure documentation complies with quality system requirements and configuration management standards.
