Job summary

GE Vernova’s Solar and Storage Solutions team seeks a Senior Controls Engineer for energy storage initiatives. You will develop and validate control architectures across AC/DC systems, ensuring scalable, high‑performing solutions and customer‑driven outcomes.

You will mentor peers, interact with customers, and coordinate with engineering and services to finalize installation and operation documentation. This role supports remote candidates within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited college or university.
• 10+ years of software and controls development experience, with at least 2 years in energy storage.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical innovation and influence product direction for energy storage systems.
• Lead development and validation of energy storage systems including auxiliary systems (e.g., chillers, BMS).
• Mentor team members and provide technical oversight for development work.
• Drive performance and reliability improvements back to the product.
• Understand regulations related to regional electricity markets.
• Support problem identification and resolution of new and installed products.
• Engage with customers to drive requirements and satisfaction.
• Interface with senior leadership to communicate plans clearly.
• Prepare product‑level documentation for installation, commissioning, and operations.
