Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources, LLC is seeking a Senior SCADA and Controls Engineer to apply advanced engineering principles to the solar and battery storage fleet within the Power Generation Division. The role includes PLCs, SCADA, and networked controller systems with a focus on safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

You will provide technical leadership, perform testing, troubleshoot complex issues, and support operations with advanced analytics and project execution. Some travel (<25%) to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Experience: 4+ years in engineering roles, preferably in power or OT/IT environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and systems engineering skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop engineering projects with significant impact on major programs.
• Provide technical leadership in control solutions design and implementation.
• Perform testing and documentation for control system changes and upgrades.
• Support OT/IT network infrastructure and secure plant communications.
