Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a senior researcher in controls to lead cross‑functional teams and advance optimization, estimation, and detection algorithms for power and grid systems. You will validate solutions through simulations and hands‑on tests, and contribute to patents and publications.

You will transfer mature technologies to engineering teams and collaborate with industry and government partners to shape next‑generation energy products.

Qualifications

• PhD with significant experience in advanced controls, optimization, estimation, or detection design.
• Master's degree with 10+ years in the same domain is acceptable.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and at least one of C, C++, Python.
• Experience developing algorithmic solutions for complex physical systems.
• Strong publication record in peer‑reviewed journals/conferences.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional research teams and contribute to development of advanced controls and estimation algorithms.
• Validate solutions via simulation and hands‑on testing on target systems.
• Document work through patents, publications, and technical reports to advance the field.
• Transfer mature technologies to GE Vernova engineering teams for integration into products and services.
• Track emerging developments in systems technology and identify new research directions.
• Collaborate with GE Research, GE Vernova units, and external partners across academia/industry/government.
