The Lead, NPD Sourcing Operations leads the sourcing strategy for ODM/CM in the full NPD lifecycle, partnering with engineering, product management, and external suppliers to drive program direction and time-to-market.

This senior role owns end-to-end engagement, makes make-vs-buy decisions, manages budgets and risks, and reports to executives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8-10+ yrs of relevant work experience in supply chain, sourcing, or logistics.
• Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration with engineering and product development.
• Supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ODM/CM engagement strategy from RFP through supplier selection and development phases.
• Set and own ODM/CM sourcing strategy for new product introductions.
• Lead and own make-vs-buy analyses and trade-off assessments for new products.
• Lead DVF/toll gate reviews and ensure sourcing deliverables at each development phase.
• Serve as the primary Sourcing representative for NPD teams.
• Manage alignment with Program Management on deliverables and product launch schedules.
• Proactively manage supplier risks that could impact time-to-market.
• Lead complex negotiations and supplier meetings.
• Communicate status and strategy with VP+ and executive-level stakeholders.
• Approve project scope agreements (SOW) including NRE, tooling, unit pricing, capacity commitments, and IP ownership.
• Oversee NRE budgets, tooling amortization, and total cost of ownership analyses.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Systems Engineering on requirements versus ODM quotation/scope.
