Job summary

First Co. is seeking an L3 Senior NPD Engineer to provide technical leadership in the development of residential, commercial, and applied HVAC products, owning assigned products from requirements through validation and production launch.

You will lead technical execution, design decisions, testing, and issue resolution while mentoring engineers and technicians. The role requires overseeing design reviews, risk assessments, DFMEAs, testing plans, and field validation activities, and coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years in HVAC product engineering or new product development.
• Strong HVAC systems knowledge and domain expertise.
• Proficiency in engineering analyses, prototype builds, and validation.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned product or major subsystem development from concept through validation and production launch.
• Own technical decisions and system integration balancing performance, cost, quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Mentor engineers and technicians and review engineering work.
• Lead design reviews, risk assessments, DFMEAs, root-cause investigations, and resolution of complex technical issues.
• Coordinate technical priorities with CAD, Laboratory, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Sales.
• Apply NPD and Stage-Gate processes and capture lessons learned for future programs.
