Job summary

6 Degrees Search seeks a Senior HVAC Product Development Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and sustaining engineering of residential and commercial HVAC product families. This role manages end-to-end New Product Development projects, drives agency compliance, and collaborates across manufacturing, sales, quality, and supply chain teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) and 10+ years of experience in HVAC product design and project

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required; MS preferred.
10+ years of product design and project engineering experience preferred with a track record of releasing at least two product families.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, DFSS/DFMA, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Lead design, optimization, and sustaining engineering of HVAC product families.
Manage end-to-end NPD projects with timelines, costs, and KPIs.
Lead product qualification programs and interface with regulatory/testing agencies.
Provide cross-functional guidance to manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and sales/marketing teams.
Prepare BOMs, engineering drawings, PCNs, and present designs to stakeholders.
Mentor engineers and drive DFSS/DFMA and process improvements.
