Job summary

Stanford Health Care seeks a Nurse Practitioner to provide routine care and management of patients with acute and chronic complaints in collaboration with a supervising physician, following standardized procedures.

The NP will evaluate patients, order studies, prescribe under protocol, coordinate admissions, and support quality improvement. Applicants should hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing, and possess RN licensure with NP furnishing number and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing.
• NLNAC or CCNE accreditation for NP program.
• RN license in nursing and NP furnishing number with BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic conditions within standardized procedures.
• Consult with physicians for tasks beyond competence or refer to collaborating physician.
• Administer, order, furnish and prescribe medications per formulary protocol.
• Coordinate inpatient and outpatient care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
