Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Palo Alto, CA to provide routine care and management of patients with acute and chronic complaints under physician supervision. The NP will follow standardized procedures, collaborate with physicians, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

The role emphasizes patient education, coordination of inpatient and outpatient care, and adherence to SHC policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Graduate of an NP program accredited by NLNAC or CCNE.
• State RN license and NP furnishing number; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services within competence under physician supervision.
• Consult with physician for complex tasks and refer when needed.
• Evaluate and treat acute and chronic conditions using standardized procedures.
• Order and administer medications per formulary and procedures.
• Coordinate inpatient and outpatient care and inform patients and families.
• Support patient education and participate in quality improvement.
