Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS) in New York seeks a seasoned Controller to lead all finance operations with a $100 million budget and a team of 18. You will partner with the CFO and senior leaders to integrate finance with HR and IT, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive accurate reporting and forecasting.

You will mentor staff, oversee audits, and manage grants accounting while communicating complex financial data to executives and program leaders.

Qualifikationen

• Seven to ten years of accounting and finance experience in a nonprofit setting.
• BA degree required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Experience coordinating audits and managing budgeting, A/P, A/R, payroll, and investments.
• Grants management experience for government, corporate and foundation grants.
• Tech-savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software installations.
• Commitment to mentoring and retaining a diverse team.
• Ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-finance managers.

Aufgaben

• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Maintain internal controls over revenue, costs, and budgets.
• Coordinate all audit activity.
• Present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to leadership.
• Support budgeting and planning with variance analysis.
• Partner with CFO and leaders to integrate finance with HR and IT.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting and grant accounting.
• Manage investments per policy.
