Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking a Manager, Development Consultant to lead nonprofit fundraising engagements and align strategy with governance and financial planning. You will supervise planning, budgets, and client communication across engagements while delivering data-driven recommendations.

You will advise on giving programs, assess operations, and translate metrics into actionable plans for mission sustainability. Collaboration with leadership and boards is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in nonprofit fundraising, development, or consulting with leadership experience.
• Proven ability to develop fundraising strategy, stewardship, and campaign planning.
• Strong executive communication, facilitation, analytical, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of fundraising and development engagements for nonprofit/education clients.
• Oversee engagement planning, budgets, timelines, and client communications.
• Conduct development assessments, readiness studies, and multi-year revenue planning.
• Advise on annual giving, major gifts, campaigns, and donor partnerships.
• Evaluate operations, policies, and alignment among leadership and boards.
• Analyze fundraising performance and donor pipelines; translate to actionable insights.
• Design and deliver training for executives, boards, staff, and volunteers.
• Mentor junior team members and promote standardized tools.
