C&Y Global Inc. is actively seeking a seasoned purchasing professional in the United States to buy non-ferrous scrap metals and grow both domestic and international partnerships.

The role requires frequent market analysis, travel to meet end objectives, and a strong negotiation capability. You will work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, leveraging your industry network and Microsoft Office skills to drive strategic sourcing and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ to 5+ years of experience in the non-ferrous scrap industry.
• Extensive professional network of suppliers and customers.
• Ability to excel under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Team player with strong relationship building across all levels.
• Excellent negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchase non-ferrous scrap metals.

C&Y Global Inc. is one of the fastest growing scrap-metal recycling companies, with warehouses in Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis, Cleveland, Oakland, Atlanta, Oklahoma and Denver. From our establishment in 2004, our revenue has increased steadily. We are looking for high potential candidates who are interested in a long term career.

Hours: Monday- Friday; 8am- 5:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the purchasing of non-ferrous scrap metals.
• Develop and grow partnerships with international and domestic customers. Includes consistent communication and regular travel to meet end objectives.
• Negotiating skills that combine the characteristics of a professional relationship and a well-developed strategy.
• Provide excellent customer focus to result in client satisfaction.
• Understand market trends within the non-ferrous metals markets.
• Assist in developing strategic plans for generating new sources and sales of raw material.
• Develop knowledge of scrap metal markets and the various tools necessary to compete (terminal markets, swaps, tolls, formula pricing, hedging, etc.).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ to 5+ years of successful experience in the non-ferrous scrap industry.
• Extensive professional network of suppliers and customers within the non-ferrous metals industry.
• The ability to excel under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, rapidly process information and make decisions based on market dynamics.
• Team player with the ability to build relationships and effectively interact both internally and externally with people at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent negotiations skills.
• Microsoft Office experience.
• Demonstrated ability to influence others and effect change.
