The Mutual Group seeks a Senior Non-Admitted Underwriter to underwrite complex non-admitted commercial accounts with high-level judgment and delegated authority. You will guide pricing, terms, and risk mitigation while acting as a trusted advisor to key distribution partners.

Across portfolio strategy and performance, you will drive growth, retention, and underwriting quality, mentoring teammates and collaborating with Risk Control, Claims, Product, Actuarial, and Compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Experience underwriting complex commercial risks, including non-admitted/surplus lines.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex non-admitted new and renewal accounts with senior authority.
• Determine pricing, coverage, terms, limits, and risk improvements.
• Drive action for complex accounts with remediation strategies.
• Ensure compliant execution of non-admitted transactions including renewals and disclosures.
• Guide portfolio strategy to meet growth, retention, and profitability goals.
• Build and manage strong agency relationships through reviews and talks.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve issues and align decisions.
• Coach and mentor junior underwriters and develop team capability.
