Job summary

Rochester Gas & Elec. Corp., part of Avangrid, is seeking a Senior NMC Specialist to lead the Network Activation and Deployment team in Rochester, NY. The role involves managing deployment schedules, escalations, and ensuring timely resolutions to break/fix issues.

Responsibilities include supervising daily team operations, coordinating with vendors and engineering, and ensuring adherence to SLAs while driving network modernization efforts. Office-based role with standard weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in telecom environment.
• At least 1 industry certification in a telecom-related field.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Senior NMC Manager.
• Supervise the day-to-day functions of the assigned team, set schedule, handle staffing requests.
• Oversees activities related to Network Activation and Deployment (second tier support, upgrades, configuration changes, maintenance).
• Resolves conflicts on the team, with other teams, and with customers via flow-through process.
• Monitor trouble tickets and ensure resolution and SLA compliance.
• Work with project teams to ensure projects progress on schedule (Circuits, Security, Asset management and NMC projects).
• Responsible for change management and socialization of upgrades/patch updates to production network.
• Receive reporting from various projects and KPIs to report to upper management.
• Manage critical vendors for network hardware installation to ensure partnership and service continuity.
• Install, configure, and turn-up telecom hardware (routers, switches, microwave, wireless devices).
