Job summary

UPMC Passavant is seeking a Full-Time Night Patient Care Technician, Senior, to join the Resource Pool. The role involves three 12-hour evening/overnight shifts, with competencies across advanced patient care under RN direction and a strong emphasis on safety and infection control.

Candidates need at least 6 months of direct patient care experience. The pool offers a 10% bonus while active, plus an extra $2/hour during qualifying periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced patient care under RN direction, including ADLs, procedures, therapies, and monitoring.
• Perform core PCT competencies: vital signs, telemetry, EKGs, specimen collection, patient transport, and infection control procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow safety protocols.
• Monitor patients and report changes promptly; document care and complete clerical tasks.
• Support unit operations and participate in quality initiatives and team improvements.
