Job summary

Honda is seeking a New Model Project Leader in Marysville, OH, to drive stamping program development and associated manufacturing improvements. The role requires coordinating with design, engineering, and business teams to translate designs into robust production processes.

You will manage multiple model changes with senior guidance, lead cross-functional meetings, and ensure projects stay within cost, schedule, and quality targets while maintaining strong supplier relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial) or equivalent relevant experience (Stamping preferred).
• Minimum 2+ years combined experience in new model development or manufacturing (Stamping preferred).
• MS Office proficiency, stamping knowledge, accounting principles, PM, interpersonal skills, CATIA or CAD viewing capability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as new model project leader for North American Stamping plant departments.
• Manage standard new model flow and activities to achieve project targets and improve manufacturing characteristics.
• Lead new model development for one or more minor model changes and occasional full model changes with guidance from leadership.
• Coordinate with Stamping department and PE BU team; prepare department status summary and new model impact for leadership reviews.
• Collaborate with Design/Engineering/Business teams to ensure reflections are integrated into design and process development.
• Negotiate product specification changes with design and engineering teams; submit change requests as needed.
• Understand plant processes, constraints, and capabilities for stamping; feed into new model development.
• Develop project targets with factory characteristics and business plan targets; ensure KPI achievement.
• Develop action plan (SAP); ensure task completion and adjust for changes.
• Ensure deliverables meet cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Maintain cross-functional relationships within Honda and with suppliers.
• Lead daily meetings and coordinate with stakeholders and leadership.
• Track and report project budget and manpower status.
