Job summary

Honda South Carolina Manufacturing is seeking a new model project leader for North American Paint plant departments. You will manage standard flow and activities to reach targets and improve manufacturing characteristics.

At EX2 grade, you lead new model development for minor or occasional full model changes with guidance from leadership. The role requires 2+ years in new model development or manufacturing (Paint preferred), strong MS Office skills, and familiarity with SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Paint preferred).
• 2+ years combined experience in new model development or manufacturing (Paint preferred).
• Strong MS Office proficiency; knowledge of Paint, accounting principles, project management, and interpersonal skills; CATIA or CAD viewing capability.

Responsibilities

• Confirm designs by coordinating with Paint department and Production Engineering teams; present to leadership in new model evaluations.
• Collaborate with Design/Engineering/Business to reflect past model characteristics in design and manufacturing processes; negotiate changes.
• Understand plant processes, constraints, and capabilities for stamping; feed into new model development.
• Develop project targets with stakeholders to meet department KPIs and business plans.
• Develop action plans (SAP) and ensure timely deliverables within cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Maintain cross-functional relationships within Honda and with suppliers.
• Lead daily meetings and coordination with stakeholders and leadership.
• Establish, track, and report project budget and manpower status and requirements.
