Job summary

Honda Marysville is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a multi-discipline team responsible for introducing and implementing new equipment for model introductions. You will use 3D CAD and simulation tools to identify design changes, summarize requirements, and drive projects as a Project Leader or PIC from inception to handoff.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and at least two years of relevant experience, plus strong communication skills to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD systems and software; background in automated equipment development; excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop optimal machine concepts for process changes using sound engineering principles.
• Provide technical support for equipment and feed into Project Leadership function.
• Collaborate with external functions (suppliers, plant resources).
• Lead small/midsized projects from an engineering perspective.
• Conduct detailed process studies to understand machine capability and feed issues back to designers.
• Create specification/scope of work documentation and verify criteria.
• Provide online support during installation and maintain critical path schedules.
