Job summary

Honda is seeking a new model project leader for North American Paint plant departments. You will manage the flow of new model activities and lead development with guidance from leadership.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 2+ years in new model development or manufacturing, preferably Paint, with strong MS Office and CAD skills. On-site at Honda facilities with occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Paint preferred).
• 2+ years combined experience in new model development or manufacturing (Paint preferred).
• Strong MS Office, Paint knowledge, accounting principles, project management, interpersonal skills, CATIA or CAD viewing.

Responsibilities

• Confirm designs by coordinating with Paint department members and PE BU team; prepare department status summaries and present to leadership.
• Collaborate with Design/Engineering/Business teams to reflect past model characteristics in design and manufacturing processes.
• Understand plant processes and constraints for stamping; use insights in new model development.
• Develop project targets with stakeholders to meet KPI and business plan goals.
• Develop action plans (SAP) and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Lead daily meetings and report on budget, manpower, and status.
