Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited is seeking a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for the US with a focus on Massachusetts and virtual operations. You will analyze data, translate insights, and connect KOLs/HCPs to Takeda to advance medical strategy and improve patient outcomes.

You will maintain expert knowledge of Takeda disease areas, build strong KOL networks, enable investigator-initiated studies, and document activities in CRM.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in life/health sciences preferred; Master’s degree is the minimum requirement.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience post-doctorate as an MSL in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), organization and collaboration skills are required.
• Execution of activities within legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
• Use of digital tools, including AI, to enhance productivity and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Externally-focused KOL/HCP activities are expected to comprise a minimum of 80% of responsibilities.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans aligned to medical strategy.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Takeda disease areas and products and disseminate complex data to KOLs/HCPs compliantly.
• Support Takeda-sponsored research and assist with investigator-initiated studies.
• Capture and internally communicate medical insights from KOLs/HCPs to refine medical strategies/tactics.
• Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
• Participate in executing medical strategy at medical conferences and communicate insights from posters/sessions.
• Complete documentation (CRM, insights, training, expenses) in a timely, accurate, compliant manner.
