Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join the US Medical team. This field-based role covers a multi-state territory (MA, NH, RI, CT, VT, ME) and focuses on building expert networks, translating complex data, and advancing medical strategy through compliant engagement with KOLs and HCPs.

You will report to the Director, MSL, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while ensuring activities meet regulatory and compliance standards.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in life/health sciences is preferred; Master’s degree is the minimum requirement.
Minimum of 2 years of experience post-doctorate as a field-based MSL in the pharmaceutical industry.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills.
Execution of activities within legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Use of digital tools, including AI, to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Externally-focused KOL/HCP activities expected to comprise ~80% of responsibilities.
Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Takeda disease areas, products, and competitor landscape; disseminate information compliantly.
Support Takeda-sponsored research and assist with investigator-initiated studies.
Collect, interpret, and internally communicate medical insights from KOLs/HCPs to inform strategies.
