Job summary

Takeda is seeking a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join the US Medical team. The territory includes MA, NH, RI, CT, VT, ME and focuses on translating scientific data to KOLs and HCPs while aligning with medical strategy.

You will build professional relationships, disseminate complex information, support sponsored research, and capture insights to refine tactics. Strong communication, regulatory compliance, and use of AI-powered tools are valued.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in life/health sciences is preferred (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent)
• Master’s degree in health sciences (MSN, NP or PA) is the minimum requirement
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills required
• Minimum of 2 years post-doctorate experience as an MSL in pharma industry
• Execution of activities within legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements
• Use of digital tools, including AI, to enhance productivity and efficiency

Responsibilities

• Externally-focused KOL/HCP activities comprise a minimum of 80% of responsibilities
• Build and maintain relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Takeda disease areas and product landscape
• Support Takeda-sponsored research and assist with investigator-initiated studies
• Capture medical insights from KOLs/HCPs to inform medical strategies
• Identify partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical
• Participate in medical strategy at conferences and communicate insights internally
• Respond to unsolicited medical information inquiries and complete documentation timely
