Job summary

Intel Corporation is advancing neuromorphic computing through the Loihi platform, integrating silicon design with AI-driven automation and novel computing paradigms.

We seek an experienced design automation engineer to develop tool flows spanning front-end design, physical implementation, verification, and FPGA emulation, while collaborating across RTL, verification, and physical design teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with experience in silicon design tools.
• 4+ years deploying production-quality silicon design tools.
• 4+ years working with ASIC tool suites (synthesis, P&R, ATPG, LVS/DRC).
• 4+ years scripting with Perl/TCL/Python.
• 2+ years delivering multiple silicon tape-outs.

Responsibilities

• Enhance Loihi’s asynchronous EDA tool flow with algorithms and regression tests.
• Support RTL designers, verification and physical design engineers with automated solutions.
• Enable early software development by mapping silicon designs in simulation and emulation.
• Write scripts to manipulate synthesis and physical design tools for low power/high performance designs.
