Job summary

UVA Health invites applications for a Neurodiagnostic 2 (EMG) Technologist. You will perform nerve conduction studies and assist in EMG and neuromuscular ultrasound, caring for adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced outpatient setting with occasional inpatient duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited formal medical education program such as CVT, EMT, Paramedic, Radiography, Respiratory Therapy, Sonography, or Associate’s Degree or greater in a Health Sciences related field.
• Radiography Technician credential is preferred but not required.
• ACLS certification maintained; preparing for ACLS/PALS per manager discretion.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform nerve conduction studies on adult and pediatric patients.
• Assist providers during EMG and neuromuscular ultrasound procedures.
• Prepare patients for testing, explain procedures, and promote a positive patient experience.
